The Gerald Fogelson Forum on Real Estate - October 7, 2009

Fogelson Forum on Real Esate at Roosevelt University Chicago

The 11th annual Gerald Fogelson Forum on Real Estate kicked off on October 7 with a panel presentation addressing the foreclosure crisis in Chicago.  Andrew J. Mooney, executive director, LISC/Chicago;  William Goldsmith, regional president, Mercy Housing; Ellen K. Sahli, commissioner of housing, Department of Community Development, City of Chicago and Louis N. Mallers, director, Chicago Bancorp participated on the panel, which was moderated by Dr. John McDonald, Gerald W. Fogelson Distinguished Chair in Real Estate, Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate, Roosevelt University. $55 million has been allocated to the City of Chicago to acquire and redevelop properties in neighborhoods most affected by foreclosures and Forum attendees were able to meet with the decision makers and learn about the program and the participation opportunities it creates.

Bancorp, were panelists at the kickoff of the 11th annual Gerald Fogelson

Forum on Real Estate. The speakers discussed the challenges and

opportunities brought on by Chicago’s foreclosure crisis.
