| February 2006 | President Charles Middleton initiated discussion with a consultant familiar with academic pharmacy programs to assess the University’s capacity to operate a program offering the doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree. |

| November 2006 | Administrative leaders of the Schaumburg Campus conducted teleconference calls with deans from other colleges of pharmacy to gather information about existing academic pharmacy programs. |

| December 2006 | Roosevelt administration attended the mid-year meeting of American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in Las Vegas. |

| April 2007 | Roosevelt administration presented a report on the establishment of an academic pharmacy program to the President’s Executive Council. |

| May 2007 | Pharmacy Advisory Board was created, comprised of representatives from area retail pharmacies, health care systems and pharmaceutical industry. Subsequent meetings were held in 2007 (three) and 2008 (four). |

| August 2007 | Roosevelt University hired the design firm of Booth Hansen to prepare a design for the proposed College of Pharmacy. |

| February 2008 | Meetings take place with the Bureau of Workforce Development for Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and Policy Advisor for DCEO about pharmacy workforce needs in the state of Illinois and about Roosevelt’s proposed College of Pharmacy. |

Roosevelt University received a $50,000 grant from Illinois DCEO to fund the start-up of the proposed College of Pharmacy, which was supported by State Senator Dan Kotowski. |

| October 2008 | Roosevelt submitted a proposal for $5M to Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)/Governor’s Office for the initial funding of the proposed College of Pharmacy. |

| November 2008 | Roosevelt Administration met with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) to discuss the accreditation process for a new academic pharmacy program. |

| November 2008 | Roosevelt University launched the search for the Founding Dean of the College of Pharmacy. |
