Undergraduate and graduate degreesRoosevelt University consists of two schools - The Music Conservatory and The College of Performing Arts. Both schools offer undergraduate and graduate degrees including a B.F.A in Acting, a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and a M.F.A in Acting. The Music Conservatory was founded in 1867 as Chicago Musical College and has long been recognized as one of the nation's outstanding schools for the intensive and rigorous training of professional musicians. The two schools are well situated on the top floors of the historic Auditorium Building, designed by world-famous architects Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan. The building includes the 3,700-seat Auditorium Theatre, renowned for its beauty and exquisite acoustics. Located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Congress Parkway, this former hotel is now an integral part of the "educational corridor" of more than 65,000 students enrolled in various institutions in the famous downtown Loop.
