Exhibits at the Gage Gallery
The Gage Gallery on the first floor of the Gage Building at 18 S. Michigan Ave. shows work that is consonant with the mission of the University and its
ideals of social justice and to serve the educational and academic goals
of the University.  The current exhibit, "Technicalities: Digital Textiles by Illinois Teachers and Their Students," runs through Dec. 30.  The gallery is open to the public.  More information >>

Former Chicago Tribune Senior Editor to Speak on Campus
Charles Madigan, presidential writer in residence at Roosevelt and formerly senior editor, correspondent and columnist for the Chicago Tribune, will discuss and sign his new book -30-, The Collapse of the Great American Newspaper, on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 3:30 p.m. in the Sullivan Room, Auditorium Building.  More information >>

Christine Ebersole Performs at Auditorium Theatre


Tony-Award winner Christine Ebersole headlined the Auditorium Theatre's 2007 gala on Nov. 2. For the first time in many decades, the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University was transformed into a glittering ballroom. Guests sat on the stage or on special platforms erected atop the orchestra level floor. The evening was sponsored by the Pasquinelli Family Foundation.

Student Support Services/Project Prime Celebration

LaBrian Carrington, developmental guidance specialist for Student Support Services/Project Prime, celebrated recently with some of the 67 Project Prime students who have grade point averages of 3.0 or higher. A recognition luncheon was held in the Auditorium Building for students who made the Project Prime 2007 Honor Roll.  Project Prime supports first-generation, low income and disabled students.

Hospitality Management Students Honored


Roosevelt Hospitality Management students and advisors attended the Marriott Foundation Employer Recognition Gala at the Renaissance Hotel in honor of their service learning project. Richard Marriott (center), one of the founders of the Marriott hotel empire, thanked the students for their work on the Foundation's behalf.

CCPA Master Class Features Hershey Felder

Hershey Felder, an internationally known actor and pianist, works with Roosevelt University student David Schofield during a master class for pianists. Schofield, a resident of Manchester, United Kingdom, was one of 10 RU pianists and singers participating in "The Real Thing" master classes and competition. The students competed for $6,000 in prize money. Felder, a member of the Chicago College of Performing Arts Board, is the creator and star of George Gershwin Alone and Monsieur Chopin.
