Around Campus

Vivid Concert & Parent Reception
The Chicago College of Performing Arts annual Vivid concert, featuring the CCPA Symphony Orchestra and Choirs, is Monday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the historic Auditorium Theatre. Complimentary tickets will be available for parents and a pre-concert reception from 6:30-7:15 p.m. will be hosted by the university.  RSVP by calling the Office of Student Services at 312-341-2190 or email studentservices@mymail.roosevelt.edu.

New Residence Hall at the Chicago Campus
As the number of Roosevelt students choosing University housing in downtown Chicago continues to soar, the university making plans to open a new student housing center in the historic, art deco Pittsfield Building, 55 E. 2008-09 Financial Aid Applications
The Office of Financial Aid has made applying for financial aid easier for students.  Simply go online and complete the FAFSA through the financial aid website and that’s it!  Students who wish to take out a student loan need to complete a Master Promissory Note and/or a Loan Request Form, and those selected for Verification will be contacted to submit other required documentation as necessary.  The time to apply for financial aid for 2008-09 is now.  An application must be on file for any student who wants to receive or is scheduled to receive scholarships, grants, loans, or work opportunities - from federal, state or Roosevelt sources.  More information >>

Exploring Majors Week
Exploring Majors Week is Feb. 25-28 at both campuses and the focus is on undecided students, students thinking about changing majors and students wanting to enhance their academic experiences at Roosevelt.  Activities include a Majors Fair at each campus, a Study Abroad Fair at the Chicago Campus, and workshops on a variety of topics.  More information >>

Border Film Project Exhibit


Roosevelt's acclaimed Border Film Project recently opened at the Gage Gallery, 18 S. Michigan Ave. The exhibit features photos taken by undocumented migrants trying to cross through the desert from Mexico into the United States and by Minutemen trying to stop the illegal crossings.

Green Fridays

The staff members of the Chicago Center for Student Involvement (CSI) show their Roosevelt University pride by wearing green on the first-ever “Green Friday” on Feb. 1. Students who come to the Chicago CSI office on Fridays wearing their green attire will be entered into a raffle. Prizes such as movie tickets, gift certificates and other goodies will be raffled off weekly and awarded to one lucky participant.
