LAWA L23/PARA 323 Estates Trusts and Wills (3 Semester Hours) Download a Sample Syllabus for this course Practical aspects of estate planning and estate administration. Basics of the legal principles involved in estate work. Review of theory, the laws of the State of Illinois, and the Federal tax laws with focus on the preparation of documents incident to an estate practice. Advantages and disadvantages of different estate forms and what forms are best for the particular situation at hand.
This course is also offered in an online format. This can only be done after being advised for the class by a program administrator. Enrollment in the online course is limited to a first-come, first-serve basis.
Books currently required for this course: *Textbook requirements are subject to change. Not all textbooks for each course may be required by individual instructors. Official textbook lists are distributed by the Paralegal Studies Program administration before each term.
