Internships The Internship Program at Roosevelt University is an employment initiative designed to provide career related work experiences concurrent or alternating with academic coursework. What this means, is that you'll be working in a field related to your major while going to school. The purpose of this experience is to provide direction and enrichment to your education, and to enhance your value as an employee upon graduation.
Internships can be paid or unpaid and can be for credit or not-for-credit (students looking to obtain credit for their experience will need to seek approval from their academic department prior to beginning an internship). Internships can occur in a variety of environments including corporate, government and non-profit sectors and can provide you with the competitive edge that’s needed to be successful in today’s job market. For more information on how to participate in this program, contact the Office of Career Services to schedule an appointment with a career counselor.
