Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Degree Completion Program

Program Director Vickie GukenbergerGreetings from the Director...

Welcome to the website of Roosevelt University's Nursing Programs.  We are excited to provide you with up-to-date information about our nursing programs.  Whether you are exploring nursing programs at Roosevelt University or are a current student in one of our programs, we hope you will find the information pertinent and what you need.

The Nursing programs are a part of the Evelyn T. Stone College of Professional Studies.  The programs are administered from the Albert A. Robin Campus in Schaumburg.

The first program in nursing that is being offered is the RN to BSN degree completion program.  The curriculum is contemporary and addresses topics such as systems thinking, health care financing, evidenced-based practice, population-focused care, and health care informatics.  The final course is a capstone field experience that is designed by the student, based on one's own area of interest and professional goals.  Check out the details of the program here.  The nursing courses are primarily going to be offered as eight-week courses, with one class session per week complimented with on-line learning activities.

Future program development includes the Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN).  It is our intention to allow for multiple entry points in the program.  While several program focus areas will be considered, our plans are to develop the nursing education track first.

We look forward to being your educational partner of choice as you continue to meet your professional goals.

Best,

   Vickie Gukenberger Ph.D, RN
