New Deal Service Day Schaumburg Sites Saturday SitesAlmost Home Foundation Animal Rescue (Schaumburg, Streamwood, and Bloomingdale) – REGISTRATION IS FULL – Alexian Center for Mental Health (Arlington Heights) – Kid Friendly! –15 volunteers needed to clean apartments, mainly bathrooms and kitchens, for Alexian Center residential clients. Busse Woods – Ned Brown Preserve (Cook County Forest Preserve – Elk Grove Village) 20 volunteers need for general cleanup and cutting buckthorn weeds. Wear sturdy shoes and dress to get grubby. Friendship Village (Schaumburg) Up to 40 volunteers needed to conduct pre-planned activities for and visit with elderly residents. Some clerical work also possible. – REGISTRATION IS FULL –
Friday Afternoon Sites(Friday afternoon volunteers meet at the Schaumburg Information Desk at 12:00 noon and return to campus at approximately 4:00 p.m.) Little City (Palatine) Up to 10 volunteers needed to sort donated books for the Brandeis used book sale.
