Women and the Holocaust: A Symposium (April 2002) On April 24, 2002 over 150 people gathered at Roosevelt University’s Robin Campus in Schaumburg, Illinois for an all-day symposium on women and the Holocaust. Organized by RU graduate student, Wendy Maier, and Professors Leon Stein and Margaret Rung, the event featured sessions on the legacies of the Holocaust, literature and the Holocaust, women in the Nazi party as well as first-hand accounts from survivors, hidden children, resisters, rescuers, and liberators.
