Mansfield Institute Enhances RU's Mission of Social Justice
Mansfield Institute for Social Justice

Dear Friend of the Mansfield Institute for Social Justice,

There are few programs in universities that embody in their very existence the fundamental nature of the university in which they are found. Roosevelt University if fortunate to have a premier example of exactly such a phenomenon. The Mansfield Institute for Social Justice is at its core a representation of the central idea of Roosevelt University from its founding days.

The Institute sponsors programs of interest and significance on topics involving social justice and civic activism. These issues lie squarely at the core principles of the University itself issues of fundamental fairness and opportunity in society.

Roosevelt University is extremely grateful to the family of Albert and Anne Mansfield for their continuous generosity and support of this mission. In the work of the Institute that bears their name, we have been able to bring together idealism and practical application in the support of a core component of these rich American traditions.

The Roosevelt University community embodies the aspirations and values of Franklin D. and Eleanor Roosevelt after whom the University is named. Social responsibility, courage, and moral vision on their part have been institutionalized into the University, which remains committed to sustaining it indefinitely into the future.

Please join us by attending our lectures, symposia and other programs sponsored by The Mansfield Institute and open to the public free of charge.
