1. Can I choose my room
and roommate? When will I receive this information?
Roommate requests must be mutual and listed on the application/contract. The University
Center will do their best to accommodate all requests. Information on room and
roommate assignments will be distributed in May or June for the following
academic year.
2. How can I apply for the RA position?
Information regarding the RA process will be posted around the University
Center and at the Office of Residence Life at Roosevelt University. Please
contact the University Center directly for more information of their Resident
Advisor process.
3. Are family or couple
housing options available?
Housing options are not co-ed and are not available for couple or family
lifestyles.

What if I have questions or concerns after moving into the University Center?
Who can I contact?
Students are encouraged to contact the University Center staff to assist in any
questions or concerns. If additional assistance is needed, students may contact
Roosevelt University’s Director of Residence Life, Angela Ryan at 312-
341-2007.
5. Is
parking available?
Parking discounts are available for the Auditorium Parking Garage in the Wabash
and Michigan lobby at Roosevelt University. Students are strongly advised not to
bring their vehicles due to the tremendous parking expense and the easy access
to public transportation provided by the City of Chicago.
6. Will there be a health or
medical center on campus?
A health or medical center is not available. Students living on-campus are
required to have health insurance or purchase Roosevelt University’s plan. More
information about our plan is available at the Office of Residence Life, by
contacting The Chickering Group at 1-877-261-8407 or logging onto their website
at www.chickering.com.
7. What is the
difference between 40 and 50 week contract terms?
Students can contract through the academic year at 40 weeks or through the
summer at 50 weeks. Contact the University Center or Office of Residence Life at
Roosevelt University for specific details.
