Office of Academic Technology and Multimedia Services
ITS

The Office of Academic Technology and Multimedia Services (formerly known as ETRC) is your source for information technology and audio-visual services for classroom instruction, computer laboratories, administrative meetings, and on-campus university events. All requests for equipment and service must be in writing using the appropriate request form (see list at left). Please submit a separate form for each class you teach, or each event for which you're requesting service. If you're having trouble submitting the online form, feel free to give us a call, or drop by the MMS office at your location (see below). Staff are available in the local offices whenever classes are in session and are available to provide technical advice and assistance. The main services of the Academic Technology office include the following:

  • A wide range of computing, sound, video and display equipment available by request for use in the classroom or for university events
  • Support for electronic classrooms equipped with data projectors and multimedia playback systems
  • Collection of videos in VHS and DVD formats
  • Support for computer classrooms and labs
  • Videoconferencing facilities
  • Video and audio recording, imaging, scanning, and duplication services

See the links on the left for details on these services and forms for submitting requests. For direct assistance, contact your local Academic Technology office. Each office is open during regular business hours (9:00am-5:00pm) and evenings and weekends while classes are in session. Or, if you prefer, you can contact us in writing.
