Institutional Review Board

Roosevelt University has a firm commitment to supporting research on human subjects that maintains strict safeguards for all participants. All studies, except certain class projects, must be approved by the Roosevelt University Institutional Review Board (IRB) before data may be collected. The first step is to complete the Institutional Review Board Application and send it electronically to Judith Gouwens, Chair of the IRB (jgouwens@roosevelt.edu). Four hard copies should also be sent to the IRB Chair. A checklist is provided below as a guide to completing the application and providing the information necessary for the IRB to review the application.
