Benefit Summary - Prospective Full-Time Administrative Employees The employee benefits checked below apply to full-time, administrative positions. In addition, the University matches the Social Security contribution of each employee up to the limits of the law. Unless otherwise noted, benefits begin on the first day of the month following the date of hire. Health Insurance. Roosevelt University offers both a HMO and a PPO to full-time administrative employees. A representative from Human Resources will discuss the available options. Premiums not covered by the University are paid by employees through payroll deduction on a pre-tax basis. Dental Program. Full premium paid by employee through payroll deduction on a pr-tax basis Group Life Insurance in an amount equal to 75% of salary (Maximum life benefit is $100,000.), with an AD & D benefit which provides up to double the life benefit TIAA Collective decreasing-term Life Insurance in an amount depending on your age (Ex: at age 30, coverage is $33,090, at age 35, coverage is $27,150) TIAA/CREF or Fidelity 401(a) Retirement Plan. 12% University contribution after a one-year waiting period. Entry dates are March 1 or September 1 following the waiting period. There is a six-year or age 40 vesting schedule. TIAA/CREF or FIDELITY 403 (b) Voluntary Supplemental Retirement Plan. Employees may begin voluntary contributions, subject to the maximum limits of the law, upon employment, on March 1 of any year or at the start of any academic year (any September 1). Total Disability is available to incoming personnel only after one full year of employment as of any September 1. (If evidence of previous comparable coverage is provided, the waiting period may be waived.) A Mini-Flex Plan, which allows employees to pay for medical and dental expenses with pre-tax dollars. Monthly premium costs eligible upon employment; other expenses after a six-month waiting period. The University also offers a transit flex-plan benefit available to RTA/CTA and Metra riders. Free and/or reduced tuition programs for employees and their dependents. Vacation Days/Holidays This is a general outline and not intended as a contract of any kind.
