Counseling Center
Policies and Procedures | Human Resources

The Counseling Center offers individual and group counseling to students and consultation to staff and faculty. Mediation services, referral information, and wellness/prevention programs are offered to the entire Roosevelt community. Although the Counseling Center does not provide ongoing personal counseling to staff and faculty, the Center staff will do so when there is a crisis or emergency. Any contact with the Center is strictly confidential and there is no charge for this service.

The wellness/prevention programs are offered throughout the academic year. Often the programs are held around the lunch hour or late afternoon after work and before evening classes. Beginning in Fall, 2002, the Counseling Center will offer a drop-in screening hour each week to provide mental health and wellness screenings. The screenings available will be on a variety of topics: alcohol and drug abuse, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress, learning styles, personality traits, psychological well-being and more. Please call 3548 at the Chicago campus and 7929 at the Schaumburg campus for more information.
