When you are viewing the TIAA-CREF web site, you may see one or more accounts depending on how long you have been contributing to your retirement plan.

I have never logged onto the secure TIAA-CREF Web Center.   Do I need a PIN?

No. You can create a User ID and Password without a PIN.

Simply log onto: www.tiaa-cref.org.
Click:   “Get a Log-In"
Enter:   Social Security Number
Enter:   Date of Birth
Click Box:   I am a current TIAA-CREF Customer
Enter:   Any one of your TIAA or CREF contract numbers, which can be found on any Quarterly Review. If you can't find your Quarterly Review, call TIAA-CREF's National Contact Center at (800) 842-2776 and they can provide you with one of your TIAA or CREF contract numbers.
User ID:   Create a User ID that is easy for you to remember.   It can be a combination of letters and numbers and is not case-sensitive.
Password:   Create a Password that is easy for you to remember.
Confirm Password:   Re-enter the same Password you entered above.

I forgot my TIAA-CREF User ID and Password. How do I get this information?

Call TIAA-CREF's National Contact Center at (800) 842-2776 and ask them to re-set your password.   Once your password has been re-set, follow the steps above to create a new User ID and Password.
 

How can I find out what my investment allocations are, or change the allocations for my account(s)?

• You can log onto www.tiaa-cref.org and click "Log-In Now".   Once on the secure site, click "Change Allocations" in the upper right hand corner and it will provide a summary of your allocations by account.

•  You can review your most recent Quarterly Review statement.

• You can call the TIAA-CREF National Contact Center at (800) 842-2776.

How do I change the beneficiary designation for my account(s)?

You can view and update your beneficiary designation by logging onto www.tiaa-cref.org and clicking "Log-In Now".  Click on "Beneficiaries" at the top of the page to view and make changes.

Call the TIAA-CREF National Contact Center at (800) 842-2776 for your current beneficiary designations and request a form to make changes.   Download a Beneficiary Change form at:  www.tiaa-cref.org/forms.
