Meet Our Staff
First Year Seminar

The FYS staff consists of faculty/staff instructors and Peer Leaders assigned to sections of FYS 100 at the Chicago and Schaumburg campuses.

Peer Leaders

A Peer Leader is assigned to a class section with an instuctor for the semester. He/she works closely with their instructor in the preparation and debriefing of each class. Peer Leaders are trained to work with students both in and out of the classroom.  They must be currently enrolled and meet the job requirements outlined for the position.

Staff/Faculty Instructors

Instructors work closely with their Peer Leaders and are responsible for ensuring all goals and objectives for the classes are met. They will submit final grades and communicate to the Director of the Center for Student Involvement regarding any questions or concerns. Instructors also work hands-on with students both in and out of the classroom.
