| Student Financial Aid Rights and Responsibilities |
You have the responsibility to:
- Complete all financial aid applications accurately and on time,
provide all documentation as requested by the Financial Aid Office, and
notify the
office of any changes.
- Read, understand, and keep copies of all forms you are asked to sign.
- Satisfy the entrance interview requirement before any loan funds are disbursed.
- Satisfythe exit interview requirement before leaving school.
- Repay your student loans.
- Perform the work agreed upon in a FWS job.
- Understand satisfactory academic progress and monitor your progress according to those standards.
- Read all university policies regarding withdrawal from classes and the financial implications of doing such.
- Ask questions when in doubt about any of the financial aid information you receive.
- Understand the Financial Aid Certifications Statement.
You have the right to:
- Know the total costs of attending Roosevelt University, both direct
and indirect expenses, and the institution’s policy on refunds if you
withdraw.
- Know the financial aid available and the procedures and deadlines for applying for these programs.
- Know how your financial need and your family contribution are determined.
- Ask for recalculation if you feel special circumstances should be considered.
- Know the interest rate on any student loans, the total amount you
must repay, the beginning date and length of time for repayment, and
cancellation
or deferment policies.
- Select the lender or your own choice.
- Know the hours, duties, pay rate, and how and when you will be paid if you have a Federal Work-Study (FWS) job.
- Know how satisfactory academic progress is determined.
