Basic Financial Aid Eligibility
Financial Aid

To be eligible to receive financial assistance, you must:

1. Be admitted and enrolled in an eligible program of study.

2. Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or U.S. permanent resident or reside in the United States for other than a temporary purpose (supportive documentation may be required to verify residency or citizenship status).

3. Maintain satisfactory academic progress in your course of study.

4. Not be in default on any loan or owe a repayment on a Federal Pell Grant, FSEOG, or State Grant.

5. Be registered for Selective Service if you are a male between the ages of 18 and 25.

6. Not have been convicted of crimes involving the possession or distribution of drugs.

7. Demonstrate financial need for all "need-based" aid programs. You do not have to demonstrate "need" to participate in the PLUS and unsubsidized Stafford Loan Programs but you are still required to complete the application process.
