Welcome to the Evelyn T. Stone College of Professional Studies. This is a dynamic learning community dedicated to helping you achieve your educational goals. When students talk to us, we listen, and we've responded to what we've heard for the past forty years. The College of Professional Studies provides exciting and distinctive learning environments for students of all ages, including many programs tailored specifically for adults.

The Bachelor of General Studies and Bachelor of Professional Studies degree program has been the cornerstone of the College for the past 40 years. This accelerated degree offers academic majors and programs of study in over 25 disciplines and a general education component based on adult learning principles. The program offers special options for transfer students and for persons whose ultimate goal is a master’s degree. Consider completing both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in the time it takes most students to complete their bachelor’s degree. Take a look at Transitions for more information.

The Manfred Steinfeld School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, the only school in Illinois to offer both bachelor's and master's degrees in this growing field, prepares participants for leadership careers in lodging, foodservice, culinary and meeting planning management. Internships in the world's most prestigious hotels and tourism establishments and a generous scholarship program are available for well-qualified individuals.

The Master of Arts in Training and Development prepares professionals for career opportunities in corporations, government and non-profit agencies. Responding to another fast-growing field, the Training and Development program focuses on employee performance enhancement and on organizational development.

The Bachelor of Professional Studies major in Organizational Leadership (OLED)  provides a multi-disciplinary approach to leadership issues, combining management science, humanities, social sciences, research science, communication arts, technology, and ethics. Students develop the skills needed to create a positive impact in the workplace by focusing on the "human side" of organizations.

I am pleased to announce two new degree programs: the Bachelor of Professional Studies in Criminal Justice Leadership and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree completion program. The Criminal Justice Leadership program prepares students for leadership roles within the fast growing and dynamic field of criminal justice. This Bachelor’s degree program is designed especially for criminal justice professionals and those who wish to become criminal justice professionals. The BSN completion program is designed for the Registered Nurse (RN) seeking to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing and prepares professional nurses for active, dedicated lives as socially conscious leaders.

The Paralegal Studies Program delivers an American Bar Association approved paralegal certificate, preparing students for exciting and challenging careers in the legal profession. Students may enroll for the post-baccalaureate certificate or combine the certificate with a bachelor's degree program.

Exemplifying the mission of Roosevelt University are the Department of Human and Community Renewal, which offers life skills programs to individuals recently released from prison, and the English Language Program, which offers academic English as a Second Language (ESL) classes that prepare non-native speakers of English for study at the graduate or undergraduate level. Our ESL program provides international students greater access to the university.

The Evelyn T. Stone College of Professional Studies is on the move. While we celebrate our rich history, we're continually introducing academic programs and initiatives that will better serve new and existing student populations.
