Recognition Awards Descriptions

We invite you to nominate Roosevelt University faculty, staff, and student employees for one of the awards listed below. Please use a separate form for each person you wish to nominate.

In the spirit these awards are intended, the committee respectfully asks that individuals refrain from self-nomination and self-promotion. Committee members are not eligible to receive nominations.

Some of the criteria you may wish to use in making a nomination are listed below:

Outstanding Service Award Thank you for your interest. The deadline for nominations has passed.

  • Provides quality service or contributions that have a lasting impact on the University community
  • Counsels and advises individual students, clubs or organizations
  • Contributes work that supports the mission of the University
  • Engages in the University's governance, program development, and/or committee work
  • Displays willingness to offer service outside job area, such as program development or committee participation
  • Continuously works well above expectations
  • Participates in and promotes continuous development and growth of Roosevelt University

Excellence in Teaching Award Thank you for your interest. The deadline for nominations has passed.

  • Challenges and inspires
  • Engages students in the learning process
  • Displays sensitivity to the learning styles of all students
  • Provides meaningful feedback to the learner
  • Accommodates and is accessible to all students

Student Employee of the Year Award Thank you for your interest. The deadline for nominations has passed.

  • Projects a positive attitude and demonstrates commitment
  • Displays ability to balance academics and employment
  • Serves as a leader and role-model
  • Participates in extra-curricular activities in and outside the Roosevelt community
  • Contributes work that supports the mission of the University
