Initial Advising
College of Education

Initial advisement for undergraduate students is handled through the Undergraduate Student Advising office.

Students in the special education department are assigned to an advisor in the College of Education after the first year in the university and when approaching Junior status.  Because we believe that advising is an important part of teaching, you will be assigned to one advisor to help you through the program.  Click here for the advising form template used for undergraduate students in Special Education (Word, 178K).

Pre-registration advisement takes place in November for spring and summer terms and in April for fall term.

If you are an undergraduate special education major in Chicago, please see Cindy Anderson for advisement.  You can reach her at 312-341-2118 or by email at canderson@roosevelt.edu.

If you are an undergraduate special education major at the Robin campus in Schaumburg, please see Lynne Firsel for advisement.  You can reach her at 847-619-8470 or by email at lfirsel@roosevelt.edu.
