Activities Provided

Roosevelt University faculty and practicing teachers who are completing their Master’s Degree in reading work together to provide:

   

Reading activities Individual child assessment utilizing the latest in methodology Small group and one-on-one instruction tailored to each child ’s needs Parental involvement that reinforces and promotes family literacy

The reading clinic takes advantage of a child’s natural curiosity to introduce a proven fun literacy experience!

Experience Literacy Through:
	Story telling Read-aloud drama Group discussions Book projects Summer journaling Presentations Practical computer applications Author studies Integrated art/music/drama Field trips Book club Test preparation Guided and shared reading Summer memory book

 

When	Where	Cost
June 15-July 16, 2009 Drop-off time is 9:00AM Pick-up is 12:00PM	Roosevelt University Gage Building 18 South Michigan Ave Chicago, IL. 60603	$475.00 for the five week program

 

The Summer Reading Clinic at Roosevelt University would like to ensure that extensive reading is offered to the community. We believe we can do this by encouraging a passion for reading and improving individual reading achievement for children ranging in age from the very young through adolescence.
