Roosevelt University's 22nd annual Language and Literacy Summer Reading Clinic is designed to improve the reading skills of students in grades K-12. The teachers/coaches are graduate students completing their practicum courses for a Master's Degree in Reading. |

The reading clinic emphasizes word recognition strategies, comprehension and written language skills. At the same time, students experience language and writing through multiple literacies including drama, movement, visual and creative arts. Students are guided by Roosevelt University graduate students in small group settings and one-on-one instruction. Teachers select appropriate activities and materials to meet each individual student's needs. Whether your child is struggling with word recognition, comprehension, or is excelling in reading and wants to be challenged, the teachers will design a plan to fit him or her. |
