ELED Fast-Track Tuition for Cohort Beginning Fall 2009
College of Education

With the final semester being tuition free, the fast track elementary education program has substantial tuition discounts over the traditional program, but the following rules and restrictions apply:

1.  Students must complete the 36 semester hour graduate program in step with their cohort, taking 9 semester hours of graduate education coursework each term for four terms in order to be eligible for the free tuition during the final term.

2.  Students who cannot keep pace with the fast track program may transfer into the traditional program at any point and continue on a part time basis, but they then forfeit their tuition free term.

3.  Students are charged all applicable RU fees every term including the tuition free term.

4.  Students cannot join an existing cohort after coursework has begun, and if they are in a cohort and unable to take a course they must drop out of the cohort.

5.  A minimum enrollment of 16 students in the cohort is required in order for the tuition waiver to be applied during the final term of study.  The start of the cohort will be deferred to the next semester in the event that this target number is not achieved.
