Elementary Education - Master of Arts
Elementary Education | College of Education

Welcome

The Elementary Education program area at Roosevelt University provides opportunities for future educators to develop a strong foundation in education, to learn best practices in teaching, and to integrate foundations into practice.  The program offers multiple opportunities for the teacher candidate to observe and practice their craft in public school classrooms beginning with the first semester in the program. Graduate students in elementary education will also become familiar with current research on teaching children at the K-9 level.

Students graduating from the elementary education program will earn a Master of Arts degree and Type 03 certification.  They will be highly qualified to teach children from grades K-9.  Students in the elementary education program have the opportunity to work with children in a variety of settings to insure that they are prepared for the diverse and challenging world of today’s schools upon graduation.  Graduates of our program can be found in schools and classrooms throughout Chicago and the suburban metropolitan area.
