Educational Leadership

The Department of Educational Leadership is fully accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and has been recognized by the National Policy Board for Educational Administration.

Programs of Study

• Type 75 General Administrative Certificate

An eight course 24 semester hour program designed for those candidates who already have an M.A.—and includes the requirements associated with the Type 75 General Administrative Certificate.)

• M.A. in Educational Leadership

A ten course 30 semester hour program that includes the requirements associated with the master’s degree and the Type 75 General Administrative Certificate.)

• M.A. in Teacher Leadership

The program includes course and other requirements associated with the master’s degree. Candidates may elect to take a minor in Educational Leadership that includes course and other requirements associated with the Type 75 General Administrative Certificate)

• Ed.D. in Educational Leadership

A 15 course 45 semester hour program that includes the requirements associated with the doctoral degree and the Type 75 General Administrative Certificate or the Superintendent’s Endorsement.)
