Early Start Program

Roosevelt University’s Early Start program gives you the opportunity to take regular college courses at a discounted tuition rate of 50% - while you’re still enrolled in high school. You can enjoy all the benefits of a full-time Roosevelt student before you even graduate from high school. Imagine the opportunity to receive college credit now that you can apply toward your college degree.

Follow these simple steps to take advantage of this great opportunity:

Step 1: Print and fill out this application (PDF, 18K) and mail or take it to the Admission Office at Roosevelt University.

Step 2: Have an official copy of your high school transcript sent to Roosevelt University.

Step 3: Schedule an appointment with an admission counselor by calling 1-877-APPLY RU.

PROGRAM CRITERIA: Minimum 3.0 grade point average (gpa) on a 4.0 scale. ACT or SAT score that meets freshman admission requirements (students who have not taken the ACT or SAT may be allowed to take the Roosevelt University Assessment (RUA) instead). Up to 15 credit hours of coursework earned in Early Start may be applied toward a Roosevelt degree.

  • Enrollment: 7,500 men and women, including 4,500 undergraduate students.
  • Student to Faculty Ratio: 16-to-1
  • Academic Programs: More than 60 undergraduate majors and pre-professional programs, 40 master’s degree programs, and selected doctoral programs.
  • Costs: Our tuition is one of the lowest in the area for private universities. Undergraduate student tuition is $536.00 per credit hour.
