Advisory Boards
The St. Clair Drake Center for African and African American Studies

Three Advisory Boards guide the St. Clair Drake Center’s work in the areas of research and curriculum development:

 

The Student Advisory Board is made up of 10-12 current undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in the African Diaspora and issues facing large urban areas.

The Alumni Advisory Board advises the Drake Center director about the career paths major in African and African-American Studies followed and in the part of the degree plays in their career advancement.

The Community Advisory Board’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the research sponsored by the Drake Center is relevant to the lives of the families who live in Bronzeville area and other African-American communities.
