LEAD Program
Center for Student Involvement
What is LEAD?
The LEAD Program (Leaders Evolving and Developing) is the leadership development
workshop series coordinated by the Center for Student Involvement (CSI). The program is
designed for students of all ages and experiences to enhance personal,
professional and interpersonal skills. A variety of workshops, presentations and
programs are offered throughout the year FREE for students.
How can I get involved?
Once you have registered, you may attend any of the many workshops that suit
your interests and professional goals. You may also choose to participate in a
certificate track to bring you closer to your leadership development goals.
Workshops are offered on campus at convenient times to fit your schedule.
Choice #1:
Participating in Individual Workshops
You may attend any variety of workshops and you are encouraged to select workshops
that will enhance your personal and professional goals. The LEAD Program may be
personalized to fit your leadership development goals.
Choice #2
Professional Leadership Development Certificate Track Participants may choose
this track and apply leadership theory, principles and practice to leadership
positions in a professional setting or for future employment endeavors. After
completing a total of eight workshops, participants will receive a certificate
in Professional Leadership Development.
Participants are
expected to attend at least eight LEAD programs of their choice during
the academic year. Students also have a choice to participate in a certificate
track for campus leadership development or professional leadership development. Students are encouraged to select programs that will
help them achieve their personal leadership development goals.
Participants who successfully complete the program are recognized at the Student Leadership Awards program in April.
