Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) The Master of Science in Information Systems degree prepares students for careers in systems analysis, the design of computer-based information systems, and management of the organization information function. The program’s emphases are on the understanding of organizational environments that give rise to the need for information systems and the tasks of designing and implementing cost effective systems for information processing. Students learn about the strategic, technological, organizational, and human relations aspects of implementing information systems. To earn an MSIS students must successfully complete at least 31 semester hours: a one-semester-hour orientation course, six core courses, and four electives. Degree requirements Core courses
