Program Overview I/O Psychology The Roosevelt University Psychology Department offers a Master of Arts degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology for those interested in quantitative and qualitative analysis and resolution of psychological issues in the workplace. The program follows the scientist/practitioner model that is the hallmark of the discipline. The program offers a wide range of courses (including an optional specialization in stress management) designed to prepare individuals for positions in human resource departments, consulting, or for entry into an I/O doctoral program. This scientifically-based and practice-oriented program provides a non-thesis internship option as well as the option of completing a master's thesis. The I/O Psychology Master's Program provides professional training to those not wishing to pursue doctoral studies as well as those who might wish to continue their graduate education. The I/O Psychology Program requirements are very demanding and admission into the program requires evidence of strong academic performance. The program does admit students each fall and spring directly from undergraduate programs and also admits mid-career students who are returning to the university after more extensive work experience. We seek a diverse student body and do not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, national origin, religion, sexual preference, disability or other minority status.
