This individual will provide neuropsychological and diagnostic evaluations of child and adolescent referrals, both outpatient and inpatient, in a hospital clinic setting. Provision of empirically-supported interventions for behavioral and mood concerns is strongly encouraged. Additional responsibilities include supervision and mentoring of clinical psychology trainees (interns, externs, and fellows); teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and graduate level psychology trainees; and participation in independent and collaborative research within the Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry. Candidates with primary clinical and research emphases in neurodevelopmental disorders (specifically Autism Spectrum Disorders), ADHD, and learning disabilities are encouraged to apply. This position requires a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Clinical Child Psychology or Pediatric Psychology, from an APA-approved program, with specialty training in Clinical Neuropsychology (Pediatric Neuropsychology) under Houston guidelines, and completion of both an APA-approved predoctoral internship and an APPCN-approved or equivalent postdoctoral residency in Pediatric Neuropsychology.
