11/09 - Program Coordinator, Partners for Culturally Competent
Behavioral Health Service Delivery for Hispanics at the New Jersey Mental Health Institute
. Reports to and works directly with the NJMHI Deputy Director to ensure the successful attainment of all goals and objectives for the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation funded Partners for Culturally Competent Behavioral Health Service Delivery for Hispanics (PCCBHSDH) program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Assist NJMHI Deputy Director/PCCBHSDH Project Director with introducing and implementing all grant funded strategies at collaborative partner agencies as outlined in awarded proposal to Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation. * Schedule and maintains meetings and training sessions with collaborative partners, sub-contractors and funding sources. * Assists Deputy/Project Director and collaborative partners with assessing and strengthening organization’s cultural competence efforts as outlined in the NJMHI’s Model Mental Health Program for Hispanic
Report and awarded grant proposal. * Ensures compliance with project implementation plan and activity timeline. * Ensures compliance with project evaluation plan and the integrity of process, outcome and impact data collection measures. * Develops and maintains positive working relationship with collaborative partners, subcontractors and community stakeholders in each of the project’s target communities. * Assists with the development of outreach and educational awareness activities, which will include conducting community presentations at various locations in project target communities in both English and Spanish on Latino mental health issues. * Assists the Deputy/Project Director with the development of a training and implementation guide for the project replication.
* Coordinates various project activities such as purchasing items,
securing translation services, and trainings.   This includes handling
all logistical operations at/for collaborative partner agencies related
to attaining project goals and objectives. * Coordinates and participates in collaborative and funding partner meetings. *       Prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents as
instructed by Deputy/Project Director. * Prepares weekly report to Deputy/Project Director, and assists with complying required semi-annual report to funding partner. * Collects information used in budget compilation. * Extensive in-state and some possible out-of-state travel are required. The Family Studies and Human Development (FSHD) Division in the Norton School of Family & Consumer Sciences is seeking applicants for an Assistant/Associate Extension Specialist with a second title of Assistant/Associate Professor. Applicants should have a strong background and scholarly record in the study of early childhood/childhood development (e.g., child care, families, fathers, normal/abnormal development, socio-emotional development, parenting, and culturally diverse communities). We hope to attract candidates with special strengths and a willingness to provide leadership, direction and support for up-to-date programming and
research in the area of early childhood/childhood development. This
candidate will provide an important link between the university and the citizens of this state. Cooperative Extension is a statewide nonformal education network bringing research-based information into communities to help people improve their lives. This is a 9-month continuing track position (70% extension/outreach and 30% research) with start-up package to support initial research needs and potential opportunities for additional summer appointment.  The mission of the FSHD is to contribute to the knowledge and understanding of family processes, interpersonal relationships, and human development through scholarly inquiry, graduate and undergraduate education, and research-based outreach. The Frances McClelland Institute for Children, Youth, and Families (FMI) serves as a catalyst via workshops, funding, facilities, and staff for cross-disciplinary research on children, youth, and families. Extension is unique because its teaching efforts are made possible by a cooperative effort between the Federal Government, the University of Arizona's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and each of the counties in the state.   Duties and Responsibilities: Develop a programmatic leadership effort of extension, research and scholarly outreach on early childhood/childhood development within a specific focus area (e.g., child care, early childhood brain development, families, fathers, normal/abnormal development, socio-emotional development, parenting, and/or culturally diverse communities). Develop opportunities for collaborative research to enhance Extension programming in the area of early childhood/childhood development throughout the state. Provide leadership, direction and support for up-to-date programming and
research in the area of early childhood/childhood development for use by the community. Conduct and disseminate high quality research on topics relevant to early childhood/childhood development. Seek extramural funding. Work closely in various counties with Cooperative Extension Agents to support and enhance their work at the county level on issues relevant to early childhood/childhood development. Work closely with other scholars at the University of Arizona and nationally to advance research on issues relevant to early childhood/childhood development (e.g., through collaborative research in the Frances McClelland Institute for Children, Youth, and Families described below). Work across Extension program units to integrate early childhood/childhood
education into new and ongoing programs (e.g., Brain Builders, 4-H Youth Development, Nutritional Sciences). 11/09 - The University of Oregon Counseling and Testing Center invites applications for an Assistant Director/Clinical Director position.  This position is twelve month, fixed term, renewable appointment as an Officer of Administration. General duties include coordinating clinical programs and service; developing, improving, and assessing clinical services and systems; supervising clinical responsibilities of clinical staff and trainees; ensuring quality control of clinical services; providing oversight for case disposition, wait list, and community referral process; coordinating mandated assessment processes; providing initial assessment and individual/group psychotherapy within a brief therapy framework, developing and implementing outreach programs to student groups and university departments, and providing supervision and training to pre-doctoral interns in our APA accredited internship program.  Minimum qualifications for the position include: Ph.D. in Counseling or

11/09 - The Counseling Psychology program at the University of Oregon (UO) is seeking to hire a 9-month open rank faculty member, with preference for a faculty member at the advanced assistant or early associate rank, to begin fall, 2010. 11/09 - The Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University is seeking applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Clinical Psychology, starting in the Fall of 2010.  The desired area of experience is child psychology, including child and adolescent psychotherapy and assessment. 11/09 - The Mount Sinai Medical Center Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, New York, NY has an immediate job opening for an outpatient rehabilitation psychologist. The psychologist will provide neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology services (assessment, psychotherapy, individual and group cognitive remediation) to patients with diverse diagnoses, including traumatic and non-traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, and other diverse medical conditions requiring outpatient rehabilitation services. Requirements included a NY State License and a background in both rehabilitation and neuropsychology. The Mount Sinai Department of Rehabilitation is the only rehabilitation program nationally to have received Model System grants for both brain injury and spinal cord injury and is CARF accredited in TBI, SCI and Medical Rehabilitation. 11/09 - A full-time, Assistant Professor tenure-track faculty position in the Community track of the Clinical Psychology program at DePaul University beginning in September, 2010. Excellent teaching skills and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate instruction are prerequisites. A strong background in research and a high quality research agenda are also essential. In addition, the following qualities are preferred: research interest in community psychology with multicultural, low-income urban populations; quantitative, qualitative, and/or methodological strengths; and experience with external research funding. The successful candidate will be expected: (1) to teach courses in the Psychology Department's undergraduate core curriculum and to contribute to the university's Liberal Studies curriculum; (2) to contribute to graduate teaching and thesis and dissertation supervision in Clinical Community Psychology; and (3) to make distinctive contributions to the scientific literature in Clinical Community Psychology.
