Additional Information for Psychology Students
NOTES & NEWS 3/30/08 - From Jennifer Hinton, UG and Clinical MA Advisor: The Fall 2008 class schedule is now online. Registration begins April 1. At this time, fall ’08 registration codes are available, but it is taking me approximately one business day to return calls and emails. Thanks for your patience with this. A few graduate sections on the Chicago campus are restricted to PsyD students. These sections are PSYC 516A-01, PSYC 520-02, PSYC 530-11, PSYC 620-18 and PSYC 641-11. We are offering corresponding or alternate sections that are open to MA students. Please take care to review the notes in the online schedule to avoid placing yourself into any sections designated for "PsyD Students Only." Also, as was the case last term, some of the 600-level sections might become overenrolled during this early registration period. In other words, if you register during early registration you will have a seat in a course, but might have to be switched to a different section meeting at the same location and time with a different instructor. Therefore, continue to check your Roosevelt myMail emails for course updates during the entire fall ’08 registration period. Two Important Announcements from the Registrar’s Office: Effective April 1, the RU Access link will no longer appear at the top of the Roosevelt University webpage. RU Access will be available to students and faculty through the portal (myRoosevelt); and as always, faculty and staff may access RU Access through the intranet. The myRoosevelt link is located at http://www.roosevelt.edu/ under the “Services and Administration” heading. Your user name will be: first name.last name (ex. Jane.Smith) Your password will be: your RU Access PIN The Registration Guide is online. Beginning with the 2008-2009 academic year, the guide will be totally online. Guides will no longer be printed. The link to the Registration guide can be found on the webpage with the class schedule as well as on the Registrar’s website. Please call 847-619-7950 or 312-341-3535 if you have questions. In 2006 Roosevelt received a 7-year re-accreditation for the PsyD Program from the American Psychological Association. The Higher Learning Commission site visitors have recommended a 10-year re-accreditation of the University. Problems with student myMail email should be directed to npluta@roosevelt.edu via the Help Desk.
Please send news to be included here to Diana Zak, at dzak@roosevelt.edu. Note that the Psychology Department distributes communications it receives that may be of interest to the RU community. The fact that the Department distributes these communications should not be taken as an endorsement of the particular group or activity. Thank you. |
