Scholarship Connections

Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration


Scholarships funds are available for graduate students in the Walter E. Heller College of Business. Specific requirements for graduate students are: a grade point average of 3.75 or better and enrollment in at least 6 semester hours during each award term. Scholarship applications must be submitted by June 15 , 2009 and you must be registered for all classes by June 15. Applications can be obtained from the Schaumburg College of Business Office (room 300), (847) 619-4850.

Delta Mu Delta, the international honor society in business, offers scholarships to students enrolled in the business programs at schools where there is a chapter of Delta Mu Delta.  For 2009 the Society presents 25 scholarships and up to 21 honorable mentions totaling $30,000 to outstanding business students across the country. The application period begins in the Fall each year and ends on March 1 with winners announced July 1.

The Northwest Human Resources Council, representing industrial and service employers in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, will be awarding one $1,000 scholarship to children of member companies or a full-time student at Roosevelt University who is an active member of the SHRM. Applications will be received starting February 9, 2009 and must be postmarked no later than May 16, 2009.

The Illinois CPA Society and CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois award thousands of dollars in scholarships to students in Illinois each year for tuition and textbooks. This support is available to students for the 2010-11 academic year with an application deadline of April 1, 2010. Students are encouraged to complete an online application, which includes an electronic request for faculty letters of recommendation. The scholarships available include:

The Government of Japan and the World Bank invite applications for the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program, 2009. Completed application packages must be received by March 31, 2009. The awards will be announced in June 2009. Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants will continue with their $1,000 scholarship program for the 4th year. Students will submit an essay on the topic that appears on the scholarship page of their web site with an application deadline of June 19, 2010.
