Programs keep a tight focus on practical application and success in today’s global corporate environment that integrates an emphasis on personal and professional integrity, as well as the importance of social responsibility.

Accreditation

The undergraduate and graduate business programs of the Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration are accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). University business programs worldwide pursue this recognition and ACBSP accredits approximately 10 percent of business programs in the United States and a few outside the United States. ACBSP accreditation is a mark of distinction in that accredited programs must meet national and international students for teaching excellence, achieving learning outcomes, mission-based strategic planning, and continuous improvement.

Degree Programs

Our students learn and experience leadership critical thinking, business marketing, finance, operations, management and information technology giving them an edge in the workplace. Students also benefit from practical experience and real-world access achieved through internships available at leading Chicago-area businesses and the dynamic instruction and guidance from our seasoned faculty and staff.

Undergraduates can earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in one of five areas:

Graduate students within the Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration enjoy a curriculum with their success in mind. Four unique specialized Master’s degree programs (MSA, MSAF, MSRE, MSHRM) have an intense focus on an area of interest, promoting a command of the theory and practice needed in the contemporary business world.

Graduate students pursuing Roosevelt’s popular Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, a customized general management degree with a variety of concentrations. Each area gives students an in-depth treatment of a specific functional area in business. The concentrations are:

Students can also select a concentration from other graduate programs within the University. These options create new and innovative alternatives not previously available in the Chicago area and offer a variety of career paths not formerly accessible to MBA graduates. These concentrations include:

  • Managing Nonprofit Organizations
  • Public Administration/Health Services Administration
  • Training and Development

Students with a unique interest area may propose an individualized concentration composed of at least three graduate level courses offered anywhere in the University. The college will give serious consideration to any individualized concentration proposed and presented by the student that is challenging and creative.

To accommodate our part-time students pursuing graduate degrees while employed full-time, the college offers a flexible course schedule. Evening classes are available at both Roosevelt campuses (Chicago and Schaumburg), as well as a convenient "Saturdays in Schaumburg" MBA program.
