Roosevelt celebrates milestone alumni reunions this spring
This May, as the class of 2009 gets set to graduate, Roosevelt University will be celebrating several alumni milestone anniversaries. On May 14th, the Class of 1959 and those alumni who graduated more than 50 years ago will be invited to our Golden Alumni Celebration Dinner. The following day, May 15th, the members the Class of 1959 will be honored on stage during the Spring Commencement ceremonies.
Later that evening, the classes of 1967, 1968, and 1969 will celebrate 40 years since graduation with a special dinner. For more information about the Golden Alumni and the 40-year cluster reunions, visit our events page.

Alumni join University-wide community service efforts
Over 20 alumni participated in New Deal Service Days, Roosevelt University’s biggest community service event of the academic year.
Alumni volunteers joined over 300 other members of the Roosevelt Community – administrators, faculty, students, staff, trustees, family and friends – in helping those in need on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 at 15 different sites in Chicago and the Northwest suburbs.
New Deal Service Days volunteers painted, did yard and park clean up, served meals to the homeless, visited with senior citizens, wrapped gifts for needy children and assisted with animal rescue adoptions. This was the seventh and most well well attended New Deal Service Day yet.

Free Alumni Tickets to VIVID Concert '09
Monday, April 6th 7:30pm
Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts presents its Vivid ’09 concert: Mahler and Bernstein: Magical-Musical Stories of Life, featuring special guest artists mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade and baritone Richard Stilwell, performing along with the CCPA Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Squires. Vivid '09 will be held April 6th at 7:30 p.m. at Roosevelt University's Auditorium Theatre. No advance reservation required - tickets will be first come, first serve at the door.

Members of the class of 1958 start new Golden Alumni tradition

On December 18, 2008, the class of 1958 was inducted to the Golden Alumni Society at a special celebration dinner. In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of their graduation, Roosevelt Trustee Robert L. Wieseneck, BC, ’58, presented a check to University President Chuck Middleton in the amount of $5,130 on behalf of the class of 1958. Members from the class of 1958 were also recognized by President Middleton during the December commencement program along with the class of 2008.
This May, the Class of 1959 will be honored at the spring commencement program and also have the opportunity to donate a class gift to the University. Alumni who graduated prior to 1959 are also welcome to join the celebration.

On Saturday, November 15, 2008, nearly 90 alumni and friends gathered for an outstanding performance and a full buffet at the annual Alumni Jazz and Gospel Brunch. The program showcased Roosevelt alumni and student talent at its best, featuring musical groups with unique ties to Roosevelt. read more

11th Annual Boat Cruise a Great Success
On Sunday, August 17, 2008 over 300 alumni and friends boarded the Kanan yacht off of Navy Pier for an afternoon of fun on Lake Michigan. This was the 11th year that the Alumni Association has hosted a boat cruise, and it remains a great hit. Guests enjoyed 3 hours on the water, a delicious lunch and drinks throughout the afternoon, while taking in the Chicago Air and Water Show up close!
