Checklist/Information for Graduate Admitted Students
Admission

Congratulations on your admission to Roosevelt University! We are pleased that you will be attending Roosevelt. To make sure that your transition to Roosevelt is a smooth one, we've developed this checklist of “must do” items.

b Attend New Student Orientation. As a new student, you will be invited to participate in a fun and informative orientation program. Learn all you need to know about campus facilities, student services, and life on campus. Meet other new students and make connections to university staff, faculty, and current students.

b Visit Roosevelt. Schedule a visit to Roosevelt and see everything we have to offer! The Office of Admission can arrange campus tours, individual appointments, unofficial transcript evaluations, and classroom visits. To schedule your visit use our toll-free number, 1-877-ApplyRU or click here

b Apply for Financial Aid. Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov or in print form. Apply as soon as possible for maximum aid, but remember that there are no grants available for graduate students-only loans. Another way to help fund your graduate education is through Graduate Scholarship and Graduate Assistantship opportunities.  You can access the combined application for the Graduate Scholarship/Assistantship here:  http://www.roosevelt.edu/pdfs/grad-scholar-app.pdf  Contact the financial aid office at 1-866-421-0935, or click here for more information.

b Apply for University Housing (Chicago Campus only). Need a place to live while attending school? The state-of-the-art University Center and the new Roosevelt on Washington (ROW) at Fornelli Hall residence halls offer numerous housing options. Complete the housing application and submit the $500 housing deposit to secure your spot. Visit the website at www.roosevelt.edu/reslife for more information and to apply.

b Meet with your Faculty Advisor and Register. You will need to schedule an appointment with your faculty advisor who will help you choose your classes and lead you through our easy online registration process. To obtain the name and phone number of your advisor, please click here or for additional help, call 1-800-ApplyRu.

b Get a Roosevelt ID Card. Students must obtain a photo ID card at no charge. This can be done at the Registrar’s office at each campus. Your ID card must be validated each semester with a sticker that can be obtained from the Registrar’s office. The ID card is used for checking out materials from the library, admittance to university and student activities, obtaining official transcripts, checks, and book vouchers.

b Final School Transcripts. If you have not done so already, you must submit your official transcript(s) in order to complete your admission file. Submit all documents to the Office of Admission at the campus to which you applied.

b Welcome to Roosevelt University!
