Roosevelt recognizes the remarkable contributions made by members of our armed services and the unique challenges associated with transitioning into a university setting. To support this transition, we are committed to providing veterans, active military personnel, and dependents with the services needed to make the most of their higher education experience.
The Office of Veterans Services is the central point of contact for all veterans, military servicemembers, and dependents using VA education benefits seeking information about available, appropriate academic counseling, financial aid counseling, and student support services at Roosevelt. It is highly recommended that you contact the Office of Veteran Services shortly after applying to the University. We are located inside the Office of the Registrar on the mezzanine level of the Wabash Building
We are able to assist veterans and dependents with:
If you are interested in applying to Roosevelt University as a freshman, transfer, or graduate student, please visit the Office of Admission. They will be able to provide you with information on the application process and the documents required for admission. You can also find information on upcoming prospective student events.
Veteran education benefits should be applied for far in advance of an academic start term. You do not need to be admitted to Roosevelt to start the process. For more information on applying for benefits, please contact the Office of Veterans Services or visit the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs education benefits website.
All military servicemembers and veterans should request that an official copy of their military transcript be sent to Roosevelt University for evaluation. All military branches other than the U.S. Air Force will order a Joint Services Transcript (JST). Air Force servicemembers and veterans will order their official transcript through the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF). Roosevelt accepts lower-division and upper-division ACE military credit recommendations. However, individual course-for-course articulations are determined by the individual academic department. No health, personal finance, or physical education credit is accepted. Please contact Pete LaHaie in the Office of Veterans Services for more information.
