The Enlightenment Project

The Center for Campus Life proudly sponsors The Enlightenment Project. The project will aim to increase student interest in community involvement by emphasizing the importance of volunteering with non-profit organizations. The Enlightenment Project will contribute to Roosevelt University's mission towards social justice and community involvement.

The project's primary goal is to provide opportunities for students to participate the whole year by volunteering at a non-profit sponsored by the University or at an organization of their choosing.

For 2011-2012, a campus goal of 2,000 volunteer hours and 2,000 donated goods has been established. Students who are looking for a volunteer experience can find resources online or by visiting the office in room 430.  In a change for this school year, the Enlightenment Project will feature one non-profit organization for each month classes are in session.  The monthly change provides more variety and opportunities for community involvement. For more information on how to get involved with The Enlightenment Project, please stop by the Center for Campus Life, Room 126.
