The U.S. Green Building Council of Illinois and the Marshall Bennett Institute hosted three national experts for a day of forums, tours and seminars on June 5th. Over 50 attendees participated in the morning seminar on Green Leasing which included panelists Helen Kessler, Victoria Noonan, Susan Heinking, and John Wichman with presentations by Roy Torbert of the Rocky Mountain Institute and Richard Kadzis, Editor, LEADER Magazine, CoreNet Global. Dennis Walsh, publisher of Green@Work and corporate consultant, introduced Mr. Torbert and Mr. Kadzis and added his own expertise to the discussion.
That same evening The Fogelson Forum featured Mr. Kadzis presenting the results of the CoreNet Corporate Real Estate 2020 Synthesis Report and Mr. Torbert discussing the coming wave of building retrofitting that will transform commercial building energy use by 2050. All the events were hosted in the new LEED GOLD Wabash Building at Roosevelt University.
