From the Director's Desk ........

Spring 2012 

Dear Colleagues, Associates, and Friends:

We celebrated the Tenth Anniversary of the program at our Annual GALA on On November 3, 2011 at the Four Seasons Hotel.  Over 400 persons attended.  Neil G. Bluhm of Walton Street Capital, LLC was our keynote speaker.  James P. Grusecki received the Lifetime Industry Leadership Award for his achievements in the industry and his contributions to real estate education.  The program tributes to Jim and a special gift announced that evening by Jim and his wife Brenda will enable us to significantly expand The Northern Builders, Inc. Scholarship for Future Leaders in Industrial Real Estate. 

For the 4th year in a row the Institute has raised and distributed over $125,000 in scholarship funds to deserving students.  We had an entering class of nearly 30 new students this year and our total enrollment has maintained at about 60 students - making us one of the largest graduate real estate programs in the country. 

We are welcoming applications for fall 2012.  Those interested in applying can find application materials on this website for a range of scholarships and initiative programs - all with submission deadlines of June 30, 2012.  The Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative, the Hipolito and Teresa Roldan Tomorrow's Hispanic Leaders Scholarship, the Northern Builders Inc. Scholarship for Future Leaders in Industrial Real Estate and other scholarship programs offer special training classes, mentors, industry events, and networking to fully prepare graduates for leadership roles in the industry.
