Undergraduate Student Goals and Learning Outcomes

At the undergraduate level there are three broad goals.  Each goal has a specific student learning outcome.  During 2010-2011 academic programs will be assessing the effective communication goal.

GOAL:  Effective communication

Student Learning Outcome:  Students compose and present a coherent product.

Goal:  Disciplined-focused content

Student Learning Outcome:  Students render and express complex texts. 

Goal: Social justice and civic engagement

Student Learning Outcome:  Students have understanding, empathy and compassion for others. 

University-wide student learning outcomes includes the continuous improvement plan for the student learning outcomes.
