Most undergraduate students will remain in Academic Advising and Assessment until the majority of their general education requirements are fulfilled.
Students in the Chicago College of Performing Arts, the College of Education and the Hospitality Management program should contact those areas directly for advising appointments.
If you are undergraduate student who is undecided about a major or on academic probation, or if you have been reinstated to the university, you will continue to be advised in Academic Advising and Assessment. You may talk to a faculty member or advisor in one of the colleges at any time even if your advising file is still housed in Academic Advising and Assessment.
Once you have received an e-mail from Academic Advising and Assessment stating that your file has been sent to your department, you will be advised by a faculty advisor in your major. If you have not received this e-mail, then you will still see Academic Advising and Assessment for your academic advising.
Check the university's Advisor Finder listings (link at left) for the name of your program's advisors.
