Representative David Harris toured the Schaumburg Campus of Roosevelt University on Monday, Dec. 17, and was very impressed with the development that has occurred at the campus over the years.  (Above, Harris, second from left, meets with, from left: Schaumburg Campus Provost Douglas Knerr, College of Pharmacy Dean George MacKinnon III and Randall Lambert, interim director of experiential education at COP).

Roosevelt University is building a strong health sciences curriculum at the Schaumburg Campus that is anchored by its College of Pharmacy. The College of Pharmacy is one of only a small handful of schools in the nation that offers a three-year program leading to a degree in pharmacology, and it is the only school in the Midwest to do so. The school is at the cutting edge of training in preparing students to work successfully as a practitioner, a clinician or a researcher.

The Schaumburg Campus is becoming an increasingly important part of the growth that is occurring throughout the Northwest suburban area, and a number of partnerships have developed with businesses in the health care and technology fields that surround the campus.
