Heller College of Business announces incubator contest

Posted: 10/03/2012

Roosevelt University’s Heller College of Business has an innovative opportunity for new entrepreneurs and businesses that need help getting established.

Through its Heller Incubator Contest, applicants vie for incubator space at the University’s campuses in Chicago and Schaumburg.

Incubator space at the Heller College of Business includes up to three office cubicles or desks with Internet access and land-line phones, and one shared conference room.  The incubator winners also will be provided access to Roosevelt’s library, faculty, staff and students, as well as opportunities to contact and access the school’s alumni network.

In exchange for space, resources and the prestige of being affiliated with Roosevelt University, Heller Incubator residents agree to serve the mission of the Heller College of Business through a visible, collaborative effort with faculty, staff and students. This includes displaying the Roosevelt University Heller College of Business logo on their website and representing the college at various functions.

The Heller College of Business launched its incubator program in fall 2011. As the first resident, 10 Step Corporation founder Todd Bermont developed Careers College, a comprehensive online job search and career transition resource.

The Heller Incubator Contest is free and open to any business that would benefit from an association with Roosevelt University. Applications are currently being accepted at the Heller College of Business. Deadline for applications is Oct. 15, 2012.  For contest rules and other information, visit or contact Heller College of Business Dean Terri Friel at
