Roosevelt University’s College of Education has been reaccredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

The approval recently granted by NCATE’s Unit Accreditation Board indicates that the College and its beginning and advanced teacher-training programs have met rigorous standards set forth by the professional education community.

“I am so pleased for the students, faculty, alumni and community partners of the College of Education that we have received this singular recognition from NCATE,” said College of Education Dean Holly Stadler.  “We hold ourselves to the highest standards in preparing teachers, counselors and school leaders and this recognition acknowledges our achievements in meeting this ideal. It truly underscores the quality of our faculty and the programs they have developed as well as our outstanding students and alumni,” she said.

The College’s re-accreditation is for five years. The next NCATE visit will be held in the spring of 2017.
