Schaumburg Campus Torch Goes Purple for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Roosevelt University's torch is lit purple in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Roosevelt University's iconic torch at its Schaumburg Campus has been lit purple in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

At 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 27, the Schaumburg campus at 1400 N. Roosevelt Blvd. will host an event entitled "Break the Silence on Relationship Violence." This event, free to attend, will feature keynote speaker Wendy Cohen, Senior Policy Advisor for Attorney General Lisa Madigan. Her focus is on women’s issues including domestic violence, stalking, prostitution, cyber-safety and human trafficking. Other speakers and activities are also planned.
