The Center for New Deal Studies and the Office of the President are hosting the 21st Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Distinguished Lecture with Fernando Henrique Cardoso, PhD and former President of Brazil. President Cardoso will speak on the subject of “Reinvention of Democracy: Reconciling demos and res publica.” He will also be awarded an honorary Roosevelt University degree, Doctor of Social Justice, honoris causa.
